What is a character? Some people are described as a ‘real’ character. Others, are said to ‘lack’ character. But what has this got to do with building brands and thriving agencies?
The truth is, everything. Every agency, client business and every other kind of community on earth is made up of characters; different people with a diverse mix of personality traits and points of view. Some characters inspire and galvanize those around them to achieve greater things. Others leave a legacy that will last well beyond their lifetime. Ultimately, it’s our character that defines who we are, our relationship with other people and the world around us.
But not all characters are real. Fictional characters are central to the success of many companies, including Angry Birds which has been downloaded over a billion times. Characters have always had an important role to play in the building of brands and businesses.
We have three incredible speakers - Sanky, Fefa and Fredrik (who are nothing short of characters themselves) – each of whom will share stories about the importance and influence of characters from their perspectives. Expect laughter, awe, and plenty of booze (thanks to our sponsors, Brooklyn Brewery).
We will wrap the evening up with a special appearance from Girlapproved and SheSays. They are working on ‘The Mascot Project’; a game-changing initiative working to define the visualization of female leadership through the creation of mascots for the US school system.
