NABS launch competition to redesign The NABS Hub

NABS is getting the industry’s creative juices flowing with The David Pilton Hub Challenge, a competition to redesign The NABS Hub. The Hub is a free-to-use working resource area for ad and media people who are both in and out of work located at NABS’ offices on Oxford Street. The winning entry will receive a £1,000 budget to transform The Hub and a further £1,000 reward.

NABS is keen for the industry to submit ideas that will create a space fit for creative minds to work and to collaborate in.

The competition launches this week to entries not only from adland and media creatives but from anyone who works in the advertising and media industry. Judges will be looking for designs that generate a stimulating working environment and reflect the creative nature of the industry and result in a space that people want to visit and use.

To enter, applicants must submit a pitch via email outlining how they would redesign The Hub in the most creative way possible. The entries will then be judged by a panel, who will select a final shortlist of five entrants who will be invited to pitch their ideas, presenting from The Hub itself.

Zoë Osmond said of the award: “Having access to the latest tech and software is important to produce high quality work, but it’s even more important to do it in the right setting. As Winston Churchill once said: ‘we shape our buildings; thereafter they shape us.’ This is particularly true of our industry where the space we work in plays an important part in stimulating the mind and inspiring creativity.”
